    8th GRADE ATTENDANCE PARENT LETTER
    September 16, 2022

    To 8th Grade Parents/Guardians,

This letter is to inform you of changes to how attendance will be recorded for your child’s Living Environment and Algebra 1 classes. Effective Monday, September 19th, students who arrive more than 21 minutes late to their Living Environment class and/or their Algebra 1 class will be marked as “Present No Credit” and that class period will be counted as a full absence of class for that class period.

Please note that students who are absent more than 41 class periods from their Living Environment and/or their Algebra 1 class will not receive credit for that class regardless of their grade.

Please contact your child’s teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal or me if you should have any questions.

     Thank you,

     Dan Katchihtes
