Character Education School-Wide Citizenship Project
Hello everyone,
As part of the Character Education program that takes place in the library, the 5th grade students will lead a school-wide Citizenship Project. This allows the students to apply the leadership skills that we discuss each week in class.
This year, Hawkins Path students will collect travel-sized/compact games for the Ronald McDonald House at Stony Brook Children's Hospital. The Ronald McDonald house provides games and toys for children hospitalized to help lift their spirits.
For the project, we are asking families to donate small, travel-sized games. There are links below for you to access to see some ideas. Many of these games can also be purchased at the dollar stores. A parent letter will go home this week explaining the project. We will start this project on 2/26/24 and it will conclude on 3/8/24. Our 5th graders will be making posters to display around the school and will also make announcements explaining the project to help spread the word. There will be boxes in the main hallway for students to put their donations.
Thank you for your support!
