Mark Palios, Ed.D., - Director of Guidance & Student Support Resources

  • Mark PaliosDr. Palios has proudly served the Middle Country School District since 2015, first as an Assistant Principal at Newfield, then Coordinator of Guidance in 2017, and the current role of Director of Guidance and Student Support Resources. In this role, Dr. Palios oversees and implements the Guidance Program, Social Work, Section 504 Plans, District DASA Coordinator, Home Teaching, and Home Schooling. He was previously a guidance counselor on the East End of Long Island prior to coming to Middle Country.

    Dr. Palios holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Gordon College, a Master of Science in School Counseling from Long Island University, a post-grad advanced certificate in School Leadership from Stony Brook University, and a doctorate in School Leadership from St. John’s University.

    Dr. Palios is committed to the mission of the Middle Country School District in supporting students’ and families’ needs, both inside the classroom and out, in helping them achieve their educational and post-secondary goals.
