Kyrie Siegel, Ed.D., is currently the Middle Country Central School District’s Director of ELA and Grant-Funded Opportunities, PK-12. Previously, Dr. Siegel served as the Director of Secondary Humanities for the North Shore School District, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology for the Hauppauge School District, and as principal of the Brentwood School District’s East Middle School. Dr. Siegel has also had the privilege of teaching English to both middle and high school students.
Dr. Siegel earned her Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Dowling College. Her dissertation focused on school board governance and was awarded Best Research Paper at the Ninth Annual International Business and Economics Conference in Prague, Czech Republic. She obtained her Certificate in Educational Leadership from Hofstra University, her M.A. from SUNY Stony Brook, and her B.A. from SUNY Albany. She is also a Molloy University adjunct professor, an executive board member of the Long Island Language Arts Council (LILAC), and she has recently co-authored a college writing readiness study published in various peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Kyrie Siegel is honored to bring her passion, expertise, and well-rounded perspective to her role as Middle Country’s Director of ELA and Grant-Funded Opportunities, PK-12. She believes it is important to embrace new ideas and strategies that promote each student’s engagement and ability to meet the rigorous expectations established through the New York State’s Next Generation Learning Standards. She deeply appreciates the opportunity to work closely with the incredible Middle Country educators and community, and she is dedicated to supporting Middle Country’s efforts to inspire and empower students to reach their full potential as active, enthusiastic, and independent learners in an increasingly diverse and dynamic world.
