Kyrie Siegel, Ed.D. - Coordinator of ELA K-12

  • Kyrie Siegel As the Middle Country Central School District’s K-12 English Language Arts (ELA) Coordinator, Dr. Kyrie Siegel utilizes her extensive background in classroom instruction, curriculum development, and educational leadership to help promote District goals while supporting the ELA and reading teachers’ efforts to enhance their students’ overall growth and love of literacy.

    Prior to joining the Middle Country administrative team, Dr. Siegel taught secondary English for over ten years. She also served as the principal of the Brentwood School District’s East Middle School; the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology for the Hauppauge School District; and the Director of Secondary Humanities for the North Shore School District.

    Dr. Siegel earned her Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Dowling College. Her dissertation focuses on school board governance and was awarded Best Research Paper at the Ninth Annual International Business and Economics Conference in Prague, Czech Republic. She obtained her Certificate in Educational Leadership from Hofstra University, her M.A. from SUNY Stony Brook, and her B.A. from SUNY Albany.
