Lisa Contarino - Principal Bicycle Path PreK/K Center

  • Lisa Contarino Mrs. Contarino is honored to have the opportunity to serve as the principal of Bicycle Path Pre-K/Kindergarten Center. Mrs. Contarino can be seen throughout the building engaging with children, teachers, staff, and parents on a regular basis. She is passionate about learning and educating the whole child; academically, socially, and emotionally. Mrs. Contarino is extremely excited to work with the highly qualified and dedicated staff, the wonderful students, and supportive parents. As the youngest learners, Mrs. Contarino feels that it is essential to provide a positive school environment that lays the foundation for all their educational years ahead.

    A resident and active member of the Middle Country Central School District community for over twenty-five years, Mrs. Contarino has also served the educational community as a member of the faculty in various roles and in multiple schools throughout the district. Mrs. Contarino’s Middle Country career began as a teacher at New Lane Elementary and thereafter at Selden Middle School. Upon becoming part of the administrative team, the journey took her to assistant principal at Selden Middle School and then full circle to New Lane Elementary as both assistant principal and principal.

    Mrs. Contarino holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Special and General Education from Baruch College in NYC and a Master’s of Science degree in Special Education from College of Staten Island, NY. She continued her education, acquiring her SDA/SBA certification from Stony Brook University’s Post Graduate Program. Mrs. Contarino feels fortunate to have the opportunity to work in her capacity as an educational leader in a district that is dedicated and committed to the needs of children and the community.
