Mrs. Saltz is delighted to serve as principal of New Lane Elementary School. Before taking on the role of principal, she served for five years as assistant principal of New Lane. Prior to her work as a school administrator, Mrs. Saltz worked as a reading teacher in the Northport School District for thirteen years.

Mrs. Saltz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University, and a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Columbia University Teachers College. She subsequently completed a program in Educational Leadership at Stony Brook University. Mrs. Saltz holds New York State certification in the following areas: Elementary Teacher, Reading Teacher, Gifted Education, School Building Leader, and School District Leader.

Mrs. Saltz is honored to work in a school district that supports individual growth and achievement, and that promotes diversity and inclusivity. Mrs. Saltz feels very fortunate to be a member of the Middle Country Central School District family.
