Google Jamboard is an interactive whiteboard app that works with G Suite services. You can access Jamboard right from the Google Waffle screen, from Google Drive, or directly from . While there doesn’t appear to be a direct path from Notebook files to Jamboard files, it is a great alternative.

    Cleaning the SMART Board

    • Plain water, sprayed on a soft paper towel can be used to remove smudges and fingerprints.
    • Glass cleaner (Windex) can be sprayed on a soft paper towel and used to remove germs and stubborn smudges.
    • Never apply sprays directly to the Board itself, as it can have an adverse affect on the Board's internal components.
    • Never use an abrasive cleaner.
    • Dry Erase Markers are not recommended for use with the SMART Board!

If a repair is needed for the SMART Board, please remember to report the issue to the building Computer TA as soon as possible, so that we can begin the process of troubleshooting and/or repairing the issue.

    No Sound from SMART Board
    • Right click the volume icon in the task bar, located in the lower right of the desktop.
    • Click on "Playback Devices"
    • Find the playback device that is listed as a USB device and right click on it choose "set as default device."

    Extend the Projector Lamp Life
    • To help extend the life of the projector bulb, the Board must be powered down after each use.
    • All power to the SMART Board should be turned off at the end of the day.
    • The projector can be powered off by the master power button, which is wall-mounted under the Board (the LED indicator will be a solid amber color when powered off).
    • For those SMART Boards that have a power-strip, please be sure to shut-off the power at the end of the day or when not using the Board.
    • Shutting off the power strip will reduce Board downtime, as well as the costly replacement of the projector lamp.
