    SCHOOL EMERGENCY CLOSING FOR MARCH 16-27, 2020

    ANSWERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE - PLEASE CHECK BACK REGULARLY

     

    1. Will the District buildings be thoroughly cleaned during the next two weeks?
      Yes. During the closure our custodial staff will do a thorough disinfection of all buildings including classrooms, all-purpose rooms, auditoriums, walls, doors, desk surfaces, chairs, book cases, floors, exterior of lockers, etc. School Buses will also be disinfected.  (Updated 3/16/2020)

    2. Does the District have a long-term closure plan in place?
      The District's administrative team is working tirelessly with our faculty and staff to develop operational and instructional plans in the event of a long-term closure. Please visit the District website for the most up-to-date information. (Updated 3/16/2020)

    3. Will instructional materials be provided for students during the closure weeks?
      Yes (Updated 3/16/2020)

    4. Will this school closure (March 16-27, 2020) impact my child's ability to take the Regents Examinations?
      Information is not yet available from the New York State Education Department. (Updated 3/16/2020)

    5. Will students that are presently scheduled for home instruction still receive the home instruction next week?
      No.  Home instruction students should access the instructional packets that are available online. (Updated 3/16/2020)

    6. Are athletic games still taking place?
      Section XI has suspended all games and scrimmages through April 3, 2020 and they will reassess the situation in the future. Please refer to the Section XI website for their most current information. (Updated 3/16/2020)

    7. What about the Musicals?

    8. What about the District Wide Art Show and Kindgarten Folk Dance Festival?
      They have been postponed until Saturday, May 9, 2020. (Updated 3/16/2020)

    9. Where can I find additional information related to Coronavirus?

    10. Will this emergency closure impact April break?

    11. Will the District lose State aid for closing these two weeks?

    12. Are Adult Education classes and activities cancelled as well?
