Birgit Martino – CSE Associate
Mrs. Martino grew up in Huntington, Long Island. She graduated from Hofstra University with a bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology. She began her teaching career at Intermediate School 77 in Ridgewood, Queens. She has a long history of securing transition services for families across Long Island and creating lasting community partnerships. She attended Long Island University at Southampton where she earned her master’s degree in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. She joined the Middle Country School District in 2013, when she began working as the Transition Specialist helping Middle Country families from grades K-12. Mrs. Martino went on to earn advanced certificates in both School Building and School District Leadership from the University of Scranton. Mrs. Martino is grateful to continue her professional career in the Middle Country School District in an administrative role with the special education department. Her goals include ensuring that every family feels comfortable going through the special education process and knowing that the district has the student’s best interest in mind. Having every student feel successful within their academic environment is crucial. Mrs. Martino is looking forward to helping our district’s families in a different role and is ready to prepare them for educational success.
