- Advisory - a time set aside during the school day for small group discussions among students and professional staff. Studying, project work, and extra help can be done at this time.
- Agenda Book - a booklet where students can organize their homework assignments and where teachers and parents can communicate progress and concerns.
- Common Time - a block of time in which the entire professional staff/students participate in planned classes or activities. Some of these activities include band, chorus, academic intervention, resource room or advisory.
- Intramurals - sports activities held before of after school under teacher supervision. Many different activities are offered. Everyone can play - a student doesn't have to be a great athlete.
- Level Office - students having Social Studies on the first floor report to the Level 1 Assistant Principal and second floor reports to the Level 2 Assistant Principal.
- Lockers - each student is assigned a locker and a lock. Students should NOT let another student know his/her locker combination.
- Pass - a note issued by members of school staff to give a student permission to be out of class.
- Passroom - (Positive Alternative School Suspension) We have instituted a PASS program. During the assigned time, the student is expected to complete classroom work and think about the reason they are in the Passroom and what they can change concerning their choices and behaviors.
- Special Area - students explore the components of art, music, health, physical education, technology, home & careers, and LOTE (Language other than English).
- Teaching Team (6th Grade Only) - a group of academic teachers who teach the same group of students. A team consists of two to five academic teachers. Each team has a common professional period that allows for team/parent conferences.
