Suffolk County Directory of Behavioral Health Services

The directory is the result of joint efforts put forth by the various subcommittees and workgroups organized through the Suffolk County Division of Community Mental Hygiene Services. Suffolk County possess a vast array of services located throughout our geographical footprint, so we have provided a glossary of terms to assist in understanding the available services.

Community Involvement

Community involvement and coordination with law enforcement will greatly help to combat the spread of heroin/drugs within the community, and prevent others from becoming addicted.

Dignity for All Students Act (DASA): NYS's Anti-Bullying Law

New York State’s Dignity for All Students Act (The Dignity Act) seeks to provide the State’s public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.

District-Wide School Safety Plan

In accordance with Chapter 181 of the Laws of New York 2000 (commonly referred to as Project SAVE, Safe Schools Against Violence in Education Act), the following policies and procedures comprise the Middle Country Central School District-Wide School Safety Plan and must be implemented by each building.

FS Direct

FS Direct is an online facility usage-scheduling tool that helps MCCSD manage usage requests, tracking event schedules, and accounting for usage expenses. 

Online Tools Aimed at Educating Parents about Synthetic Drugs

The Partnership at Drugfree.org on Thursday unveiled tools available online to help adults understand synthetic drugs and urged them to talk to kids about their dangers.

A guide to combat heroin abuse. The attachment contains information on how to detect warning signs, who to contact for help, law enforcement options and support networks.
