About the School Climate Survey
-
The Middle Country Central School District strives to equip all students for excellence by showing them how their high school diploma is a key to lifelong success and personal achievement — and we need your help! Students, staff, and parents/guardians are invited to take the Diagnostic Tool for School and District Effectiveness (DTSDE) Survey.
The DTSDE Survey is a part of the New York State Department of Education requirements for Comprehensive and Target Support & Improvement Schools as well as Target Districts. Survey questions address systems and organization, school leadership, curriculum, instruction, social-emotional learning, and parent and community engagement.
While this is a state-mandated survey, we see it as a community-wide conversation about how we can provide our students with the skills and support to reach their full potential.
Parents/guardians are invited to take the survey by clicking the link on our district website. The survey can be taken on any computer, tablet, or smartphone. Staff and students in grades 3-12 will take the survey during school.
All responses are strictly confidential. K12 Insight, our independent research partner, will administer the survey and compile the results. The final reports will include only the overall results, not individual responses.
For more information about the survey, please contact Jonathan Singer at (631) 285-8110 / jsinger@mccsd.net.
