ADVISORS:  MRS. L. McMILLEN & MR. B. LATHAM

Preamble:  The purpose of this club is to prepare students to compete in the Suffolk County Mock Trial competition.  The students will work together to learn the law and their roles.  Mock Trial provides students with an environment to interact and learn from other students, lawyers and the advisors.  The club promotes public speaking, organization and knowledge of the law.  The Suffolk County Mock Trial competition begins in February.  The Suffolk County Bar Association gives us the materials needed in December.

Meetings:  One meeting in September, October & November to organize once we get the initial information from the Suffolk County Bar Association.  Once the materials are distributed by the beginning of December, the club meets three times a week.  Once the competition begins in February, we compete every Wednesday for four weeks.  If the team makes it into the finals, we will compete every Wednesday until May when we would go to Albany, or until we are defeated.  We encourage new members to come to meetings and join the team.
