The acronym STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. More importantly, STEM represents a multidisciplinary approach to student exploration. This year, students will focus on using STEM-skills to think and act as scientists and engineers. Students will connect understandings from various subject areas to devise solutions to a variety of challenges. This year, students will be working with LEGO building elements to design structures and solve problems given specific parameters. Students will also be working in the outdoor classroom to explore their natural surroundings. The skills and tools that students use this year will help them to become creative, capable problem-solvers!
