    Funding your students lunch account: Parents are encouraged to create an account at: 

    Important: MSB's end of year procedures

    Please note: if you are experiencing problems using the MSB's APP, it may be due to not processing the required APP updates.

    We recommend settting up a daily spending limit for your students account.

            This convenient online payment service is where you can directly deposit money into your child's meal account and alleviate concerns regarding lost or forgotten money. Please note there is a $2.49 transaction fee for this service. 

                 Prepaid meal accounts can be funded with cash or check made out to: Middle Country Cafeteria fund. 

    ***Graduating Seniors- Please utilize the money on your account or any balance requests can be transferrred to a sibling.

    *Important MessageWe recommend that you log into your child's MSB'S online account and turn off the auto pay feature to avoid account withdrawals from occurring.

                                                     A written email request is required for sibling account balance transfers.

    We understand the critical role that wholesome eating plays in the educational process and the health of growing bodies at every stage of development. Our cooks use wholesome ingredients to freshly prepare our food, paying particular attention to the use of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats and healthy snacks. Nutritional breakfasts and lunches are available daily in all schools and are consistent with dietary guidelines.

    DID YOU KNOW? Milk & Chicken products are hormone & antibiotic free - All dressings are all natural, with no artificial ingredients & no HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) - All condiments are low fat -Teriyaki sauce & soy sauce are low sodium - Sliced bread, hamburger buns & hot dog buns are 100% whole grain & contain no HFCS - Breads, tortilla wraps, taco shells, nacho chips, panini bread, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce & all condiments are free of any partially hydrogenated oils & HFCS - Yogurt is 100% all natural & contains no artificial ingredients - All pasta is Zerega - All rice is brown - Tuna is dolphin safe & packed in water - Flavored milk contains no HFCS.

    Our monthly menus not only feature nutritional messages, but also highlight a special fruit or vegetable of the month to encourage students to try new healthy choices.


    If you have a student with a serious food allergy that is eating from the cafeteria, please contact Ms. Linda Zain at (631) 285-8192 to discuss the procedure. Communication is key and its crucial that we work closely to meet the needs of our students with food allergies.

    The government requires manufactures to list the top eight allergens on the label if it is in the food. It is not mandated for food plants to put information on the label regarding a potential risk for cross contamination if multiple allergens such as soy and wheat are utilized on the production lines. As a courtesy some companies do list this information.

    *Please note that information pertaining to the menu items food allergens and the nutritional value can be obtained by opening the menu on the eboard, clicking on the menu item, then clicking on the + icon.

    Students can receive free or reduced-price school meals. Contact the Food Services Department for more information at 285-8193. The Healthy Meals for Healthy Americans Act of 1994, P.L. 103-448, has amended Section 9(b)(2)(c) of the National School Lunch Act (NSLA) to allow limited disclosure of information about free and reduced price meal or free milk eligibility without parent/guardian consent. Participant’s name, eligibility status and other information provided on the application or obtained through direct certification or verification may be disclosed to certain other federal, state or local agencies as authorized by the NSLA.

    Important: Free and Reduced carry over ends on October 16.

    Renewal is not automatic for everyone. If you do not receive a letter from us indicating you are approved for Free or Reduced Meals for the 18/19 school year, and you feel your family may be eligible, please fill out an application or call 631-285-8193 for information.  A new application must be filled out prior to October 2018 in order for eligibility to continue through the 2018-2019 school year. Available funds remaining in your My School Bucks account as of June 2018 will be carried over to the 2018-2019 school year. All negative balances remaining as of June 2018 should be paid immediately.
