Happy Holidays from Centereach Music!

Happy Holidays from Centereach Music!!!  These four videos represent the Chorus portion of the traditional Winter Concert – including the traditional finale of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus!

All of the following videos are recorded by students in their homes 100% virtually.

The first piece on our virtual concert is “Mary Did You Know.”  This song is sung by the Select Vocal Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Brian Hough.

Mr. Hough did the video editing, assisted by student Joseph St. George.  Joseph is also the soloist in the middle section of the song.  This piece was put together using Garage Band, Final Cut Pro and iMovie. Click this link to hear the Centereach Select Vocal Ensemble!

As tradition has it, the final selection on this virtual concert is the Hallelujah Chorus.  It is performed by the Centereach Select Vocal Ensemble, Centereach Philharmonic Orchestra, Centereach Wind Ensemble and even includes, as tradition holds, some alumni students.

Mr. Hough edited this video and Ms. Heather Wesnofske edited the audio for the instrumental students.  They used Garage band, Final Cut Pro and iMovie.   Click this link to hear the combined performance of the Centereach Select Vocal Ensemble, Orchestra and Wind Ensemble.

Thank you for listening to our Winter Concert. Students and teachers worked very hard to bring you these awesome videos through a very different and challenging way of rehearsing.  Way to go Centereach Music!

Have a happy, healthy and socially distant Holiday Season!
