Delayed Summer Mailing Information
Hello Middle Country families,
We hope that you are safe and well following the storm of August 18th and 19th. Unfortunately, this storm caused flooding in the district mail center damaging many of the summer mail packets that were ready for delivery to the post office earlier this week.
Critical elements of these packets for pre-K, Kindergarten, and first grade students are being replaced and a new mailing with these items will be mailed to households next week. Remaining materials typically included in the summer mailing will be sent home in student folders for elementary students, and for secondary students these materials will be distributed at grade level assemblies in September.
The content of these packets are available on each building web page available by navigating to mccsd.net and then clicking on “our schools” at the bottom of the page. Personalized information, like teacher assignments for elementary students and class schedules for secondary students are available now on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. School bus assignments will be available in the portal on Monday, August 26th. If you do not have access to the PowerSchool parent portal you may call the student data office at (631) 285-8821 for assistance. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this delay.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Singer
Assistant Superintendent for Instruction
