The Career Exploration Challenge is an opportunity for a high school student to spend a total of at least 10 hours on the job with a person who works in an occupation in which he/she is interested. This experience is an important step toward career planning. The Career Exploration Challenge is a very useful activity that allows a student to explore a career that they are interested in by spending time with a professional working in that field. It provides more insight than just reading a job description or asking an employee to describe what they do.
Any and all 9th-12th students are invited to participate.
All students are eligible to participate each year from 9th to 12th grade.
Participants who present their experience to a small panel of judges sometime after school during the week of April 9th-13th will have the opportunity to win scholarship money sponsored by the Middle Country Chamber of Commerce.
