High School Graduation Rates State Reporting Error

On Wednesday, February 7, Newsday published the New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) annual report card for Long Island public school districts. This data includes NYSED's reporting of high school graduation rates. For Middle Country Central School District, NYSED reported a graduation rate for the 2016-2017 school year as 82%. THIS IS AN INCORRECT NUMBER.  An error in coding resulted in NYSED marking 69 students as receiving diplomas but not leaving the school system.  With the correction of this error, the correct graduation rate for Middle Country is 92%.   The Middle Country Central School District is proud of its reputation for academic excellence and the outstanding achievements of its students, faculty and staff members.
